The configuration of the Blue Yeti microphone can become curroupted by mysterious means, destroying the descriptor used by USB for identifcation (amongst other settings) and preventing enumeration. Fortunatly, these settings can be restored using a specific programming tool provided usually only accessibe by OEMs.
